Study Circles

How will I benefit?
If you feel something is missing in your life even though you have all of life's essentials, then your heart is crying out to be released from the reality that surrounds you.

Your spirit, bound by the chains of materialism, yearns to be set free from this condition. When your body is hungry or unwell it cries out for attention and if it is not given soon then it will deteriorate into a life-threatening state. Similarly, through this unhappiness, your soul is making its needs known.

Just like a fish cannot survive out of water - its natural environment, so you need to be immersed in your natural environment - the spirit. You need to be surrounded by those who are trying to live in this spirit; your soul cries out for the happiness and well-being of a life-style in tune with the spirit. When you achieve this you will function properly and your potential will emerge.

About the course
The course title is "Reflections on the Life of the Spirit". The course duration is approximately 30 hours, usually spread over a few weeks or weekends. The method used is designed to involve all participants, and is called a "Study Circle".

Guided by the principles and teachings of the Baha'i Faith, you will gain insights, develop skills, and stimulate spiritual awareness in an atmosphere of love and friendship. Study Circles are conducted in small groups (usually between 5 and 10 participants) facilitated by a tutor.

Devotional Meetings

Like all major world religions the Baha'i Faith is fundamentally spiritual in origin. Its chief goal is the development of the individual and society as a whole. One of the means of achieving this is through spiritual nourishment that prayer and reading of Holy Scriptures can provide.

The Baha'i Community regularly has gatherings for prayers and readings to uplift the spirit. These gatherings take place either in people's homes or in more public meetings. They are informal and all are welcome.
